Fall in the Blue Ridge Mountains
This past week my husband and I spent the week traveling on the Blue Ridge Parkway. This is a wonderful way to view fall foliage in the southeast. The colors were so amazing and there were many overlook areas to stop and take photos. We visited some of the most charming small towns and bought pumpkins and apples at the North Carolina State Farmers Market. It was really a relaxing time for us and I definitely would recommend the Parkway! Be sure and take timeĀ to enjoy this beautiful season.

Southern Style
There are some wonderful homes in the South. You would love this home- with it’s front porch, towering oaks and and beautifully decorated interior. Let’s start with the kitchen. It is one of the prettiest ones I’ve ever seen. The double chandeliers were amazing.
I love these rooster prints over the stove! If anyone knows where to find these let me know- I’ve been looking for something to hang over my stove and these would be perfect.
Okay- get ready to see the most beautiful bathroom– brace yourself–
The master bedroom was done in green and neutrals. Notice the view out of the bedroom window..
The home had the original wavy glass in the windows.
The backyard was beautiful. It had three small back porches and a water fountain.

Part 3 of the Historic Home Christmas Tour
I have a few more photos of the lovely homes I saw on the Christmas Tour. It was so much fun to see how people decorate their homes, even the bathrooms were decorated! This beautiful bathroom had shiny gold floral wallpaper, just perfect for making a Christmas setting. The picture just doesn’t do it justice. There are votives floating in the tub and champagne chilling on ice.
If you look closely in the next picture you can see clear ornaments hanging above the tub.
The dining room was very large and open, two rooms had been made into one. The chandelier and the drapes were amazing!
I hope you enjoyed this home. I will be back in a few days with more from the tour.
